University of WestminsterThe University of Westminster was founded in 1838 as Britain's first polytechnic and is today one of the most popular UK universities for international study. More than 23,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students - 4,000 of which are from overseas - are spread across the University’s four campuses. There are ten schools of faculty at the University of Westminster, with a slant towards business and the sciences. The various schools include the:

University of Westminster Campus LifeOf the four campuses at the University of Westminster, three are in London’s bustling West End - Cavendish Campus, Marylebone Campus and the Regent Campus, while the other is in Harrow, northwest London. Each campus is well-equipped with its own library, catering facilities and a set of distinctive buildings.Student support is second to none at the Westminster University, with an excellent complement of tutors and counselors on-site to offer financial and religious advice and help in general. The established University of Westminster students' union is also highly revered. The various libraries on each campus of the university hold a vast number of books, CD-ROMs and e-journals, while social life is also high on the agenda with a good offering of sports activities, cafes, restaurants and bars.
London CityThe University of Westminster has perhaps the best location of any university in the land, owing to its close proximity with the centre of London. The likes of Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden and Soho are only minutes away from the three city campuses and the London Underground allows for fast access to most parts of the city.London boasts some of the world’s most recognizable landmarks, monuments and icons, such as Buckingham Palace and the London Eye, while its museums, theatres and galleries are simply world class. London also needs no introduction for its shopping and dining options, with an endless opportunity of outlets along Oxford and Regent streets, while nightlife can be had just about anywhere in the city, although The West End also wins in this department. Covent Garden is a favourite hangout for students, where a multitude of terraced cafes, restaurants, pubs, bars and clubs can be enjoyed.
Student LoansThe University of Westminster is allowed to charge new, full-time students up to £3,000 a year for tuition fees from September 2006. Many students will apply for a student loan to cover their tuition fees and day to day living costs. Student loans are the best option for borrowing money for college as interest rates are traditionally low and repayments don't start until graduated students are in work and are earning over £15,000.
