Swansea City

Swansea is Wales' second city and as such has excellent transport links with the rest of the UK, quality entertainment options and beautiful surroundings. There is something here for everyone - history and culture, amazing shopping in the pedestrianised city centre, numerous bars and pubs and, of course, the allure of the Gower coast.

Places to head for in town include the Marina and spruced-up Wind Street, while the promenade hosts many outstanding attractions. Surfers and walkers should head for the Mumbles and Rhosili areas to the west of town.

Student Loans

Swansea University is allowed to charge new, full-time students up to £3,000 a year for tuition fees from September 2006. Many students will apply for a student loan to cover their tuition fees and day to day living costs. Student loans are the best option for borrowing money for college as interest rates are traditionally low and repayments don't start until graduated students are in work and are earning over £15,000.
