Manchester City

Manchester is perhaps England’s most happening city outside of London, owing to a swathe of tasteful redevelopments, extensive shopping, endless nightlife options and several city parks.

Manchester has an enviable history stretching back almost 2,000 years, harking back to the Romans, while the city centre boasts a newer history in the form of many fine Gothic buildings and churches.

Old Trafford football ground, aka Manchester United, is perhaps Manchester’s most famous landmark, although the plethora of eateries and nighttime venues will be at the forefront of most students’ minds - bars, pubs, clubs and live music venues are everywhere.

Student Loans

Manchester Metropolitan University is allowed to charge new, full-time students up to £3,000 a year for tuition fees from September 2006. Many students will apply for a student loan to cover their tuition fees and day to day living costs. Student loans are the best option for borrowing money for college as interest rates are traditionally low and repayments don't start until graduated students are in work and are earning over £15,000.
